What I have learned

During my entire stay in Washington D.C. I have learned a lot of things on Americas past, as well as the foundation of the democracy that we live by today. I have learned that the Korean war, truly was a forgotten war by the American people. i do not know why this is true beacause of the lack of facts that I have aquired, not just during the trip, but my entire life. I have learned at the Vietnam war memorial, that it was a very tragic time in history, and that there is no victory, that does not invole sacrifice. I have learned of the time of great homicide in Africa, and how badly we treated the natives, but then i learned of how easily our nation was split up, to fight for the cause of slavery. I have learned and seen how space, the infinite beauty in the sky, that can never be totaly explored, or measured, had convinced the world to briefly stop fighting, and explore the heavens. Over all I have learned of the history and beauty of this nation. and of the sacrifices that we have made for democrocy, and of the wonderous achivements over the time since the landing at Plymoth rock
